#NEWJUDO

Nowadays, Judo's Rule have been totally renewed by the International Judo Federation (IJF). We can speculate that this New Rules will be renewed again and again for the quite long time.  If you couldn't follow the Rules, you'll be immediately disadvantaged.  It's hard race.  

 

Not only Rules, style of Judo have been changing as well.  Color of materials off course, system, environment so on.  Changing Judo, who has been leading this movement?  Yes, IJF.  If you made good idea to develop judo, it should be considered by them because we love judo, we can't let them do as only they want.  Pres. Marius Viser and some IJF members are using Twitter to reflect their opinions and sometimes Mr. Viser is holding terms to ask anything about them with hashtag (#askviser).  In order to develop Judo I also made some ideas, so today I will share some of my crazy ideas.  I also tweeted with my ideas using this hashtag (#新柔道).

 

1. To hold Judo competition with normal casual clothes

    Judo-gi is kind of Kimono and it used to be our casual clothes to wear in daily life.  So it make sense if we made Judo competition bringing your own clothes to fight. (off course rules must limit it to make it fair though) 

And it's about to see the essence of our Budo sport.

 

2.  Lottery for the IJF Tour

For me, watching Judo competition is boring time if you are not interested in their judo.  Nobody says so I will mention about it.  Sitting on the tribune seat whole days is very difficult for me even in the Grand Slam Tokyo I felt it.  People in audience have to be obsessed to watch judo.   I just simply thought it's good idea to sell lottery about winning on the draw with estimation in order to make people more obsessed just more like fan of horse racing.

 

3.  To exposure more Players information

Now mostly all Judokas have accounts of SNS.  To make the audience more get interested, they have to know more about players. Off course people can look on the smart phones, but it's not dynamic.  Let's put more information about IJF fighters, Favorite movies, foods, hobby, which dojo they've been raised.  Judo Fans will be interested in about these player's activity or to imagine their personality.

 

4.  Photo Award

When I was thinking how we get the spectators obsessed into the fights, simply this idea came up. They are making video or photo with good high qualified camera like iphone,  Android or even single lens reflex camera. So this idea is just to give Best Photo Award to the best photographer. Hmm, maybe not good enough idea.

 

5.  VR tribune from referee's sight

Simply interesting. Using 3D Holography must be much interesting though now it's difficult.

 

6.  Hantei Rule Again

I like that, if the both players couldn't decide a winner with ippon without waza-ari winning.

 

7.  More Colored Gi

Green, Pink, Gold, Red and others,,, Why not?!

More color more fun. In old time, we didn't have good technology to make good coloring but now we have so why don't we use it?  To stay with old fashion is still possible.

But if the both players wore same color, it's going to be problem. lol

 

 

How was my proposition?

I have more and more crazy ideas to change Judo.(maybe not realistic though)

It's simply funny to think our future so I'm just enjoying. 

So probably I will post with other ideas with hashtag #NEWJUDO someday another. as a Judo fan.
